Tax saving extended by the federal government!
In late 2004 congress extended the "all at once depreciation" law for small businesses purchasing equipment until the end of 2007. The maximum value of $108,000 doesn't come into play often but why not deduct what you do spend.
Section 179 of the tax code allows business to deduct IT equipment, such as servers, computers, printers, and off the shelf software along with other qualified equipment.
